"2025 Asia Golden Selection Awards (EE Awards Asia)" held its award ceremony on December 5 (Friday) at the Grand Mayfull Hotel Taipei. National Formosa University’s interdisciplinary research team, led by Professor Yiling Yeh of the Department of Biotechnology and Associate Professor Wuchieh Lin of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, stood out among 170 companies worldwide and more than 400 entries with their work "Automated Cell Activity Analysis," winning the Innovation Award and demonstrating NFU’s research strength in AI and biotechnology applications.

"Asia Golden Selection Awards" (EE Awards Asia), organized by EE Times and EDN under ASPENCORE Taiwan/Asia, upholds the spirit of "Creating the future of the electronics industry and changing the world with engineers." The competition includes six major categories and 35 awards, such as Product Awards (Taiwan/Asia), Technology Platform Awards, Industry Service Awards, Innovation Awards, and Recommendation Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in technological breakthroughs, product innovation, and contributions to the industry ecosystem.

The interdisciplinary team formed by NFU’s Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering and Department of Biotechnology participated in the competition with their work "Automated Cell Activity Analysis," recommended by NXP Semiconductors, and won the Innovation Award. This work contributes to advancing cancer immunotherapy technologies and improving quality management efficiency in the cell therapy industry.

The award-winning work "Automated Cell Activity Analysis" utilizes CD3 staining and AI technology to detect and classify cell activity in real time, overcoming the limitation of current testing equipment that requires waiting for laboratory results. Physicians can instantly understand patients’ immune cell activity during consultations and provide optimal immunotherapy treatments.
